We've seen them fuck on screen, and that hug in episode 6 of TVL is probably still the most intimate thing I've seen Louis and Lestat do in the entire series. A brilliant scene over all but that part specifically is just above and beyond.

i thought the “this is the face that launched a thousand ships, although now it would maybe be five-hundred.” line was just an internet joke but apparently that's a line Menelaus actually says in Nolan's Odyssey??
Not only that the language itself sounds straight out of a marvel forcibly funny haha moment, but Menelaus? The Menelaus who all thoughout human history, from Homer, to Sappho, to Euripides, to Virgil, to Shakespeare, to Brooke, to Barth; from Classical vases to Medieval poetry to Reinessance art, has been known as the man whose sword fell from his hands at the sight of his wife after 10 years apart?
"What joy for me to hold my wife" Menelaus?
"He flung the sword away, and kissed her feet" Menelaus?
"I believe all. I understand nothing. I love you" Menelaus?
"I have no fault to find; my wife, he daughter of Zeus and Leda, is mine again, she whom her brothers on their snow-white steeds, whilst torches blazed, made my happy bride, but gods removed her from my home." Menelaus?
The Menelaus who was picked out of the suitors by Helen herself? The Menelaus who couldn't kill a begging Trojan so his brother had to do it for him? The Menelaus who rescued Odysseus and got out Patroclus' body? The Menelaus who volounteered to fight Paris one on one so everybody could go home? Who kept expressing his guilt about himself being the cause of war through every assembly he spoke at in the Iliad? Who after 10 years away at Troy, took his wife through a 7-year long journey at sea back home, where he reinstated her as the queen of Sparta? Who wept like a child in front of Telemachus recalling the war and his brother and all the friends he lost and the only consolation being his wife' gentle hand on his?
You want me to believe that man scarred Helen's face and called her only worth half the ships because of it?
I'm actually physically sick just thinking about it.
dunk being daeron's heavens light while being aerion's hellfire walk with me
Sansa Queen of the North, Arya Mistress of Whispers, Brienne Commander of the Queensguard, Theon Hand of the Queen, can anybody hear me?

frodo getting criticized for decades for not doing much / not being a hero compared to sam is fitting when you consider mental health and strength is often trivialized. frodo carried the most dangerous and insidious item in middle earth for YEARS. ancient beings (elves, gandalf, etc) were taunted and tempted by it. boromir was corrupted within weeks without even touching it. men and hobbits turned against their brethren for it. killed for it. and frodo, with a wound from a morgul knife, bore it’s weight when no one else could. had it been anyone else, middle earth would have fallen.
no, he couldn’t have done it without his samwise. but isn’t that a lesson in itself?
"All the characters in IWTV are too flawed for the show to be enjoyable" WRONG I love when Armand lies so much he doesn't remember the truth, I love when Lestat goes full diva bitch mode and ruins everyone's day, I love when Daniel pushes everyone's buttons on purpose just to see how much damage he can do, and most of all I love when Louis proves that he is his mother's son (judgemental and cruel as hell). Frankly, skill issue.
Unstoppable Force (Armand manipulating Louis for 77 years) vs. Immovable Object (Louis' spiraling mental health)
But what's that?? IT'S DANIEL MOLLOY WITH THE STEEL CHAIR (Being a terrible old man with nothing to lose)!!!!
"For 52 years I've watched you" implies that Armand watched Daniel combust two marriages and still thought he could stop him from ruining Armand's own. Daniel's success rate is 100% in fucking up marriages and that's why Armand wanted his ass out of the Dubai hell mansion.
I know it wouldn't fit in with the archaic language they used in the Hobbit movies but i really think both Bilbo and Balin deserve the right to call Thorin a fucking idiot to his face

His little lights
Dare I ssy that Egg is and always will be "Dunk's Boy" before he is "Maekar's son"?
Sorry to add on but I do have thoughts.
Egg is the fourth son and fifth child of Maekar. By the time he was born, there was definitely already some bullshit going down with Daeron and Aerion that took up too much of Maekar's time. His mother would die not terribly long after. He's probably gotten more attention from Dunk than he has for his entire life from his father.
Besides, Maekar's son is not a title that Egg can be proud to hold because the failings of his older brothers and Maekar made it mean nothing. Sure, Maekar loves him, but love is not always enough.
Dunk's boy is a title that only belongs to Egg and isn't tainted by the actions (or inactions) of those who came before. Ther's only affection and Dunk's undivided attention within it for a boy who knows that the honorable knight he's squiring for will never hurt him in the way his family has.
Real reason Thorin had to die in BOTFA is because he did NOT want to explain to Dís why he abandoned Fili and Kili in Laketown to be burned crispy by Smaug.
RIP Lyonel Baratheon you would have loved getting blackout drunk to white girl party music
Maekar's worst trait is that he loves his children too much. It's in "This man attacked my son" and "He's my last son" and taking the side of his most disappointing children even when he knows that they can't possibly be in the right. Daeron has the right of it when he points out that Egg could become a monster like Aerion if trapped in Summerhall, but Maekar refuses to see that because he hasn't realized that love isn't always enough. It didn't save Daeron, it didn't save Aerion, it won't save Egg.
Maekar is a tragedy because he does not want to lose his children, but in holding them too tightly he already has.

Aragorn, King of Gondor and THE Loverboy Of All Time ran so Jon Snow could trip over his own ass absolutely fumbling a baddie in the most heinous way possible.
Balon blaming the Starks for making his son fruity is crazy considering what his daughter has going on (butch realness).
