Travel Tip 1: How to Avoid Jetlag If traveling west, which typically means you're gaining time/daylight, try not to nap on the plane and stay up until nightfall or the normal time for sleep at your new location; if traveling east, which usually means you're losing time/daylight, try to only take a nap the night before or get a lesser amount of sleep compared to your routine so you will be able to sleep at the normal time at your vacation destination. During my international trip last year, I used this method for my sleeping habits, which made it really easy to adjust to the new time zone I was entering. I can honestly tell you that it worked phenomenally well for me.
