All very true. It just never dawned on me until tonight and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m always intrigued by Scots fighting for the British in the Revolution, because only thirty years ago, they were rebelling against England themselves. Of course, it wasn’t all of Scotland, but it’s still fascinating to me. Edmund sees himself as an Englishman and not a Scotsman, which is clear, but that’s another fascinating aspect of it all.

my favorite thanksgiving tradition is when your best friend comes over for dinner and starts acting all sus until the married woman he has a crush on, the king’s worst bounty hunter, and the guy who beat up your dad all show up and start arguing about these guys in green bean costumes, which somehow results in the bounty hunter with an eye patch to pull out a gun so you gotta go full on cowboy movie and whip out your gun even though you are a quaker and totally womp him because gunpowder?? in this household we only have powder for our wigs.
