On Monday Nationals MP Alison Penfold introduce this private bill to federal parliament in an attempt to reshape the Sex Discrimination Act to target trans people while claiming not to target trans people

trans women feel high and mighty and claim authority over the queer community because “all the history is about us!!!11!1! we fought for your rights!!!11!!1” but never contend with the fact that trans women had the privilege to fight. the privilege to break away from the patriarchy, even if it was dangerous. trans men didn’t have that choice

Like idrk anyone who's against 'gently suggesting to potentially vulnerable closeted trans people that they might be girls/boys/nonbinary and its good to explore their options'

I do know people who are against laughing at, teasing and borderline bullying POTENTIALLY VULNERABLE AND CLOSETED TRANS PEOPLE for being too 'stupid' to realise that they are actually trans.

I also know people who are against parasocial egg culture, aka telling strangers, who for all you know may already be stealth trans people, just in the other direction, that they MUST be women/men.

On the one hand, having a friend of mine very jokingly say something like "I give it 6 months" any time I talked about liking Fallout: New Vegas or getting a Blahaj was actually kinda nice cos I knew I had a friend who wouldn't be shocked when I eventually came out.

On the other hand though, seeing certain trans people on Twitter say things like "every femboy/feminine guy eventually comes out as trans" with such aggressiveness and condescension made me feel like my own identity wasn't even mine to decide. As a result I forced myself a lot harder to just be a "feminine guy" cos at least that was an identity I felt I could choose for myself. Probably could have figured this shit out like 6 months sooner if it wasn't for those twitter users.
