Been looking for some Lt. who was in Easy that was in 1st Platoon who went out and killed a guy. Checked morning reports for new LTs and this Morris guy rang a bell.

Because I think I remember him confessing to murder in a letter to Ambrose.

And here he is, the 1st platoon Lieutenant who arrived in Spring and got transferred to Item Co.

"I just finished Band of Brothers + brought back memories if only small one. I joined "E" Company about the 1st of April 1945 + was assigned to the 1st platoon. Sergeant Hale (throat cut by SS) was Platoon Sergeant + Denver "Bull" Randleman was a member of the platoon. I was there a short while before transferring to "I" Company."

Bull and Martin team up

I want to point out how insane it is that in a series about WWII's European Theater the ultimate villain isn't the Germans, or the SS, or even local collaborators. The ultimate villain complete with the camera shots and music is their training officer. (Jewish training officer)

The drop scene is really beautiful.

They just left their parachutes! A lot of women will be very happy. Side note: parachute silk was amazing quality. It had to be lightweight but very strong, and you could always unravel the fabric and soak, dry and reuse the thread.

The "horizontal collaborators". Obviously I am not in favor of stripping women (or men for that matter) publicly, shaving and tarring them ; but this isn't as simple as punishing women for dishonoring their country by sleeping with the enemy. Most "horizontal collaborators" were active collaborators which usually included informing. People had a right to be angry. I'm not sure if this was something Easy was aware of this, but now you know.

I think it’s the only time Winters panics? He dropped his gun. Not like Leibgott with Tipper who very calmly assessed the situation and put his gun to the side.

I really like the setting for the line “there won’t be orange flags tomorrow” or something like that. Maybe there won’t be individuals with orange flags, but the entire sky is a blazing orange flag.

Bull’s ducklings went off to find him. What is it with paratroopers and imprinting on the nearest bipedal?
