i have no money!!!!!!! 🤪
i have literally -$60 right now, and i need 3 textbooks for my class that starts tomorrow. my venmo is @Anna-Marie-Purcell if you can spare some money. I can make icons, gifs, edits, themed pride flags, write fic, or draw for you in return, whatever you want.
I’m korasami on ao3 and my catch-all tag for original content is /mine if you want proof that I can do these things. if you could reblog this that would be swell.
Black queer male artists
Big Freedia - Freddie Ross is a gay man who answers to both she/he pronouns. Often called the Queen of Bounce, he specializes in bounce, edm, dance, and hiphop music.
Cakes da Killa - Born Rashard Bradshaw, he’s a gay American rapper based in New York. His debut album “Hedonism” was released in 2016.
Frank Ocean - Frank Ocean is a r&b/hiphop artist who has dated both men and women, but doesn’t claim any labels as his own. In fact he actively rejects labelling himself. “Chanel” is a must listen.
Keiynan Lonsdale - Singer/actor who played the love interest in Love, Simon. He’s also released some truly amazing music this year like “Preach” and “Kiss the boy.” On his sexuality he had this to say “I actually don’t label myself…some people call me queer, some people call me bisexual, whatever it is now I’m happy with all of it.”
Kele Okereke - The gay lead singer of indie rock band Bloc Party. He’s also released two solo albums under the mononym “Kele” and a third under his full name.
Kevin Abstract - Gay & a founding member of hiphop group Brockhampton. Kevin is a rapper and singer-songwriter, and released his debut solo album in 2014. In 2016 he came out and released his second and very gay album “American Boyfriend.”
Le1f - Born Khalif Diouf, he’s a gay rapper and producer. His debut album “Riot Boi” was released in 2015.
Mykki Blanco - Originally on the music scene as a transgender woman, Mykki decided not to transition and live his truth as a gay, HIV positive man. He said “I am a femme gay man, but my trans journey is who I am.” He is a rapper, poet, and activist.
Taylor Bennet - Bisexual rapper & brother of Chance the Rapper. One of his latest singles “Be Yourself” is very gay and very good. I also love the song he did with his brother, “Broad Shoulders.”
Todrick Hall - Gay pop/hip house musician, dancer, drag queen, and choreographer. He released a new album “Forbidden” just this year. Listen to “Boys wear pink.”
🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈✊🏽✊🏿✊🏽
A new long furby is born - his name is Thursday and he’s plaid because it’s GAY

How to help your stage manager
respond to their text/emails just so they know you saw them
DO NOT REPLY ALL stage managers tend to send group emails and when you reply all the whole group gets it when really just the stage manager needed to see your question/response
answer calls, its just as awkward for us to call you as it is for you to answer but it is incredibly important if we call you instead of text you
save our number in your phone!!
don’t wait until the last minute to tell us stuff
we don’t bite, directors do, its always a better choice to talk to us before you are forced to talk to them
chances are we haven’t eaten, especially during tech week, bring us food you will make us very happy
listen t our ASMs and Techs, chances are we told them to tell you something and its just easier if you listen
please be quiet
please be on time
we are the only ones that should have our headset on “talk” at all times so don’t get mad at our breathing
any fights you get into, drama you cause is just more work for us please get along
some SMs are nice, some are shy, some are strict, some are crazy, some are messy and look disorganized, we are all pretty great, learn your SM’s attitude early and learn how to work with them, disagreeing with us, or disliking us for petty reasons is just not productive
chances are we haven’t slept, tread lightly during tech week and be forgiving of outbursts
Actors don’t realize it a lot of the time, but the SM-Actor relationship can be extremely intimate. They trust us so fully to catch them. And we do. We catch them with our blocking notes and well-designed backstage paths, with the breaks we call with stunning regularity. We spend our hours planning how to keep them happy and safe. We watch them and learn their body language: we know when they are having just a slightly off night, or when they are in danger and haven’t realized it yet. Any SM cares for actors. But to really be there for them and for the show, we must fall in love with them a little bit.
An SM answers when an actor calls line– but the best of us can hear their voice falter and know to look down the moment before they call.
An SM calls cues between lines and blocking– but when we know the actor well enough we speak their lights and sounds into existence as if they were bringing it about themselves. They don’t see us behind that table, but we always see them.
Even if the person-to-person connection is not there, an SM who loves their actors will know how to give comfort when something goes wrong and does so unhesitatingly. Do they need a shoulder to cry on? A stupid joke to laugh off? A person to yell at to vent their frustration? We know, and we understand.
We are their advocate when they are not present, and we do our job solely so that they can do theirs. There is a martyrdom in that, but there is also love. Actors know much of what we do and know that they need us to make their magic happen. But I don’t think they know how deeply we love them.
this is one of my favorite fucking gifs ever it never gets old

Favorite Disney Songs #08: A Goofy Movie - I-2-I (1995)
“If we listen to each other’s heart, we’ll find we’re never too far apart.”
So I was doing some research on common medications for a pharmacology class at school, and realized that Wikipedia is calling out the outrageous practices of pharmacological sales in the US. Right up there in the main intro to the medication they’re showing how much the drug costs to produce, versus how much a typical course of treatment costs in the USA.
Amoxicillin, a front line antibiotic, typically taken at one pill per day. 10 pills cost between 0.20 and 0.50 USD to produce, marked up at up to 80 times the price in the US.
Salbutamol, AKA an asthma puffer, on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines (considered to be the most important basic medications needed to be stocked by a pharmacy/hospital), a life saving medication.
How about oxygen? A tank of oxygen, used as a basic treatment for everything from low blood oxygen to respiratory failure to maintaining oxygen while administering anesthesia for an operation?
Epinephrine/adrenaline, AKA an epipen, given to people having a type of severe allergic reaction called anaphylaxis, where their airways swell and close up. A person in anaphylaxis will die without epinephrine/adrenaline. Costs at most $0.95 to produce, and they’re sold for $70 at the absolute cheapest for a single vial.
Naloxone/Narcan, used to stop an opioid overdose. $5.30, at most, to produce. $4500 to buy.
Bisoprolol/Zebeta, given for high blood pressure, angina (chest pain), and heart failure, sold at over 1000% it costs to produce.
The combined birth control pill, ethinylestradiol/levonorgestrel.
Also, just so you’re aware, as of late Mat 2018, 1.80 GBP is 2.40 USD. For a three month supply of the pill. The same amount could cost you 150 USD in the United States.
The MMR vaccine, given to prevent mumps, measles, and rubella - diseases that could leave you deaf, blind, infertile.
Casual reminder that the for-pay medical system is vicious and morally bankrupt.
The pharmeceutical industry in the US is absolutely disgusting
It’s the capitalism lmao
