Salvation is a gift from God. It's not something you earn by being good, always saying the right thing, or beating yourself up every time a wrong thought pops up. No, salvation is not earned. It's given, and guess what?

Revelation 3:20 NLT

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends."

Reading Joseph’s story this morning made me realize that dedicating yourself to God means dedicating yourself wholly to others and to everything your hands find to do.

I’m reminded of 1 John 4:20 (NIV):

“Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.”

To say you love God is to love others. In the same way, being dedicated to God means being dedicated to others — your family, your boss, your friends, your neighbours, your community, the body of Christ, and your country. Our dedication to people and to the responsibilities God has placed before us is a reflection of our dedication to Him.

Prayer:

"Jesus did not use anointing to vindicate self. He never demonstrated power to show off or score a point. Once one has given up all rights to him-self, meekness becomes his or her way of life."

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

- The helmet of Salvation

- The breastplate of Righteousness

- The belt of Truth, which is Christ Himself, who holds the entire armour together.

God is good 😊

No matter how large the problem is, no matter how nasty the secret is, no matter how far you think you have gone.

Go to God honestly, be bare to Him. He will hear, He will forgive, and He will cleanse you.

Our faith should not be in people; pastors, elders, reverends, etc, nor should it be on objects; the cross, anointing oils, holy waters, physical locations, etc.

All these are not who or what saves. It is Jesus and Jesus alone. Look to Him, believe in Him, depend on Him, and have faith in Him alone.

Acts 4:12 "Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved"

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth much more than many sparrows!

It is only true faith that can move you to acts of service that bring honour and glory to God. It is only true love that can ignite you to toil in labour for God and others, and it is hope that will inspire you to endure all sufferings.

This, not for ourselves, but for Christ who worked, laboured and endured for us first.

The scriptures say in Matthew 7:16 that by their fruit you shall know them, it is the actions we take, the words we speak, our character, and thinking that shows whose you are, whether you belong to light or darkness of this world.
