Hoe Tip: How To Shave Ya Coochie
I have been shaving from clit to asshole since I turned 14 so I am a resevoir of knowledge. Posting in case anyone finds it helpful!!
-First and foremost, make sure you are clean. Exfoliate GENTLY with a sugar scrub or other exfoliant if you so choose. For a solid DIY lemon sugar scrub mix together one part oil (coconut, avocado, olive, whatever) to three parts sugar and add some lemon juice to that bitch.
-I personally like to shave on the toilet with a handheld mirror I can use to make sure I don’t miss spots. The angle allows for easy access to further back areas that are hard to reach standing up.
-Shave with a men’s razor if you have one, they’re a million times better (and cheaper, I have dollar shave club and it’s surprisingly cost efficient). Use a new razor w/ 4 blades at least for that Good Shave
- scrap whatever shaving cream you’ve been using and use one of the following: coochy cream, baby oil, conditioner, coconut/avocado oil. (Please note that OILS WILL BREAK DOWN CONDOMS!! please have safe sex and don’t use baby/coconut/avocado oil to shave if you plan on using a condom later, and on that note always use waterbased lubes too)
-shave slowly and gently. You don’t need a crazy amount of pressure. I generally shave sideways because it doesn’t hurt and cause I grown hairs like shaving against the grain does, but it gets a closer shave than going with the grain.
-afterwards, rinse off, DAB dry (don’t rub all rough ouch), and apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to close pores and kill bacteria. Not too close to the kitty tho.
-apply unscented deodorant (or if you’re irresponsible like me, lavender dove deodorant) liberally on shaved areas, it’ll keep ya dry and prevent razor bumps!
-over the next few days, if you experience any dry or flaky skin as stubble grows in moisturize lightly with an unscented moisturizer like curel, cetaphil, Vaseline, etc.
-lastly, listen to your body!! If you use a product and the coochie responds poorly, find alternatives that are gentler or more suited to your needs! It was a trial and error process for me to figure out what works best for me, so be patient and switch things up as needed!
