But the notion of a ball masque was enough to give her pause. Another notion had entered her head as well.If She could quickly make friends at court she might win more support in getting Emmanuele released to her custody. So she would go.As much as she loathed the idea.But by god she would at least endevour to have some fun while she was at it! Dozens of mythos tomes were spread out on two tables.Books were a singular passion of her's the only one that was deemed remotely "ladylike" Having heard that it was likely Queen Mary would appear as Artemis and King Francis as Apollo she could safely cross one idea from her list. Venus was not her particular cup of tea either.She had no wish to have to bat off half the court with a stick;especially considering she had every plan to attend alone. The two nearest books were her two closest choices.On the left Persophone Queen of the dead,daughter of spring and bride of Hades.. On her right Hecate goddess of the night,magic and the crossroads.She among the Greeks was given her due by all even the mighty Jupiter but kept out of what many would call the " politics of the gods"and moved to the sway of her own music. It could be said Celina felt a special kinship with the goddess and NOT just for the whole issue at court with her sister. While it was unorthodox it was not entirely unheard of to combine two goddesses into one as sometimes Hecate was depicted as the triple goddess one aspect being Persophone. A sheaf of parchment was set out before her as she worked.In order to have her outfit ready in time for the party her dressmaker would need her design by no later than tonight. The other books she had shut and stacked neatly on the table to be placed back once she was done.Deeply engrossed in her work she had effectively tuned out any outside sounds as her dress took shape on the paper. Juliene had a gorgeous sparkling midnight blue material that would be perfect for the body of the gown.The overlay would be cut from the remainder of the Spanish lace from the last shipment and Celina had the perfect tiny little gems to be sewn onto it. Finally trimming the dress dark red silk roses which would also adorn her mask.A simple silver coronet with an inverted crescent moon brooch which would likely be half hidden by her hair... Damn she wished she knew what sort of neckline the queen would be wearing!She needed to be eye catching but not tasteless either. Huffing she sat drumming her fingers on the table lost in thought
