Here’s the context:

This photo is a hidden Easter egg in Resident Evil. It’s not part of the main story,just a fun, lighthearted collectible tucked in his desk.

Rebecca is in a short sporty basketball outfit, casually on a court, nothing sexualized, nothing aggressive.

You only find it if you search Wesker’s desk multiple times and develop the film in the Dark Room. It’s a developer joke, classic 90s Resident Evil “go explore everything” humor.

Calling Wesker a creep for this? That’s a stretch. The game never frames it as weird or sexual, it’s just… weirdly funny. It’s more like “look at this quirky, slice-of-life photo in the middle of a horror game” than anything sinister.

Honestly, I think this is proof that the RE devs had a sense of humor, not that Wesker is secretly a creepy perv. People are just seeing what they want to see.

So, I was writing this drabble & it’s starting to turn into more of a fic. Also, though I had not originally planned it this way, as I was writing/thinking about the story, one of the programs turned into Mercury in my head. Now I can’t unsee that even though the timeline doesn’t match up. Oh well, it’s just another AU I suppose.

Literally symbolic brain chaos. It’s like… he’s all precision and control until someone shows him he was manufactured, then BOOM. Feelings. feelings everywhere. dramatic gestures. monologues. fiery lava.

It’d be really interesting to explore how Silco built up his power, and got his influence, and started making his army before Arcane. What he did dodging around the lanes and letting Vander have his place there while Silco worked at other stuff.
