Both Laios and Falin have Things they enjoy and Priorities that Marcille simply does not get, nor Share, but that doesn't stop them from being Important People to her. She just also thinks they're kinda nuts for it. one of the big priorities that She and Laios DO share is Falin and that'd bridge a much larger gap than actually exists Like, the thing is the fact that Laios and Falin are Quite similar people is made note of several times in the text, to the point that someone jokes that if Laios had been a girl, The Samurai Prince that was part of their original adventuring party before Falin got eaten would have fallen for Him rather than for his sister, and I have no reason to believe that wouldn't have proven true with Marcille too.
