âIâll be back for you at one on the dot, got it?â
âYeah, babe I got it,â Otto was hardly listening to his words as he slipped into his cardigan.
Tonight was an engagement party for an old friend. Heâd told Awsten he could come along, but he insisted Otto go alone since he was exhausted and didnât have enough recharge for his social battery to be around a crowd of people.
âDonât drink too much,â he warned.
âI wonât babe,â Otto gave his boyfriend of two years a kiss and stepped out of the car.
As Awsten watched him walk up to the steps of the house  he drove off completely unaware of what would come later.
âOtto!â Awsten shouted over the loud music, desperately trying to grab Ottoâs attention, but he was too busy dancing on a table top with half his drink spilling out the cup in his hand.
Everyone around was drunk and cheering for him as they watched his hips sway and head swing side to side. Heâd never been the best dancer and would normally leave Awsten amused but he was tired and wanted nothing more than to leave the noisy setting. Especially since he mustâve looked like a crazy person in a beanie, bright orange sweater and plaid pj bottoms with blue fuzzy slippers to match.
âOtto!â he grabbed his hand and managed to get him down without dropping him.Â
âIâve been looking everywhere for you! I waited in the car for like an hour!â he was serious, but Otto just kept laughing hardly paying mind his boyfriend was in front of him.
âIâve been dancinâ, ya silly,â he laughed about to take another sip of his drink, but Awsten took the cup before it touched his lips. That seemed to upset Otto, but he didnât give him a chance to protest.
âOtto, youâre drunk, Iâm taking you home.â
Awsten took his hand and began to lead the way out from the crowd to which several people were sad their entertainment was leaving. âAwwâs collected around the two of them, but Awsten was getting more claustrophobic the longer he lingered.
Reaching the porch, Otto yanked his hand free of his boyfriendâs,âI canât go home with you.â
âWhat? Why?â Awsten frowned and noticed Otto was bare foot to his surprise. He sighed knowing the brunette would hate himself for losing his shoes in the morning.
ââCause my boyfriend would be angry,â he shook your head, but couldnât stop the fit of giggles falling into the palm of his hand.
Awsten half laughed, âIs that so? He sounds like heâs a loser.â
Ottoâs giggles ceased and he gaped at the taller boy, completely offended. âYouâre a loser.â
He turned on his heel to walk away and before he could make his escape Awsten scooped him up in his arms. âTrust me sweetheart, your boyfriendâs gonna be fine with me taking you home.â
The curly haired boy whined as he was tossed over his shoulder. âIf I get in trouble, Iâm blaminâ ya.â
âHow did yaâ know where I live?â Otto was fascinated as he was carried bridal style up to his home. He gasped when set on the floor of his porch, âHow did ya get the keys to my house? Only my boyfriend has 'em.â
Awsten shook his head, his smile showing little restraint as he unlocked the door. Otto would not stop talking about his boyfriend the entire car ride home. From simple songs heâd dedicated to him that would come on the radio to just talking about how talented he was and how in love he was with him.
Awsten almost wondered if Otto was really talking about him and not some other secret lover he had. He opened the door and entered the warm atmosphere of their home.
Otto stumbled and Awsten caught him before he fell. Their chests pressed together as Otto latched onto his arms and lifted his pink face to stare at him clumsily.
âWow. Youâre strong,â he straightened himself, âAlmost like my boyfriend.â
âItâs pretty late, maybe you should change into something more comfortable,â the bi-color eyed boy suggested tugging on the hem of Ottoâs shirt until his hand was smacked away.
âExcuse you! I have a boyfriend.â As if he hadnât made that clear enough already.
âYeah Otto, I know, Iâm your boyfriend,â he spun his drunk boyfriend around and managed to pull his cardigan and shirt off him before he bolted off to the bedroom.
There was so much about seeing Otto this way that had Awsten entertained. He wasnât going to lie, Otto was only twice as stubborn drunk than when he was sober. He loved that about him and admitted it was cute in a kind of irritating way.
âOtto, c'mon,â Awsten sighed half miserably as he followed behind to the bedroom and leaned against the doorframe as he watched Otto strip out of his jeans and face plant into the mattress. He scrambled recklessly to get up and go through the drawer of Awstenâs clothing.
The pale boy quirked his brow, âThatâs not your dresser.â
âItâs my boyfriendâs Iâm allowed to use it,â Otto said matter-of-factly.
Awsten opened his mouth to make a witty remark but started laughing as he saw the drunken boy slip on one of his hoodies backwards. The hood of the clothing material resting upon his chest.
âI think it fits,â he smiled and ran his sleeve-paws down to smooth out the fabric.
âPerfectly,â Awsten shook his head before going over to plop onto the bed and bring Otto close to him. His toned arms curled around the smaller boyâs waist as he positioned him to stand between his legs, his hands slipping inside the hoodie to touch the small of Ottoâs warm back.
The skin contact may have sobered Otto up because this time he didnât move from his embrace. Â Otto cupped Awstenâs face and let him lean into his touch- his bright eyes looked at Otto completely mesmerized.Â
âIâm so in love with you,â Awsten admitted half mumbling as if he was lost somewhere in his mind.
Otto giggled and ran his hands up to slide the beanie Awsten had been wearing off his head. His nimble fingers dug into Awstenâs raven locks before he leaned in and kissed his nose.
âSilly, why were yaâ hidinâ under this hat?â Otto held up the beanie to his line of sight and tossed it over his shoulder before moving to sit on Awstenâs lap and curl his arms around his neck.
âWow you really are drunk,â Awsten laughed. Otto indulged in vibrations of his boyfriendâs laughter in his chest against his cheek.
âIâm not as think as you drunk I am.â
âMaybe you should ask your boyfriend what he thinks.â
