like imagine cas just having his arm taken clean off and adjusting his knife hand before running straight back into battle, cas having his face torn apart by a werewolf while throwing sam out of the way, cas breaking his entire spine after taking a hit meant for dean and just having to wait until he could feel his legs again, cas getting tortured beyond recognition and having to reattach body parts on his own, the winchesters trying to stop him from and having to help him get put back together again and again and again
