"Cassette label" -- Ikeno Koi (Ribon May 1981)
Oshiete Nanoka "Suteki ni lalala seiya shinrensai party poster" -- Ikeno Koi (Ribon Original December 1996)
The other day I was contacted by a super nice person @sensei87 who kindly sent me scans of some Oshiete Nanoka title pages I'd never seen before, and they also linked me to their instagram account where they're in the process of compiling scans of 90s and 00s Ribon series originally posted to a Spanish Ribon fansite called "Ribon Amiko"!

You should definitely check it out if you're into that period of shojo manga, there's already a ton of nostalgic stuff up, and even some images from old "Shojo no tomo" and "Shojo-kai" volumes (shojo magazines from before there were shojo manga magazines). I'm also always interested in learning about what shojo titles were licensed outside of the Anglosphere; for example, I had no idea Kono te o hanasanai, an early Obana Miho work which success directly led to her serializing Kodocha, was licensed anywhere! Also I keep thinking I should post more about Tanikawa Fumiko here but I never do, so go look at these adorable title pages.

what's with americans on the internet who've read exactly three (3) manga in their lives announcing loudly to the world that berserk and/or one piece are the "best" or "most" anything in manga?

Hello! Hope you’re well :3 sorry to bother you with this random ask, but since I believe you are based in Europe, I was wondering if you and ever been to Berlin and if so, if by any chance any anime related things/stores you’d recommend trying to visit, especially in relation to vintage shoujo? I know vintage shoujo is more popular and beloved in Europe compared to the usa which is why I ask as I’m going there on a trip soon
I have been to Berlin but it was a long time ago and I didn't do anything nerdy, so I dunno! It's not my impression that "vintage shojo is popular" extends beyond Italy and France, but I'll post this so maybe people can give suggestions in the replies?
