Sheâd opted for a lazy day, there were no appointments on the calendar and she had the emergency phone on her always, so sheâd stayed at home, lounging around in various knitted items of clothing, a small army of animals scattered throughout the cabin. Swinging past the bakery, Nyx was in an indulgent mood, decked in her purple scrubs, sneakers on for prime comfort when fussing over animals that wonât sit still. The young woman before her was one person that she could tolerate, perhaps it was because they were of the same magic. âI suppose I should take you up on that then⌠Oh and a cherry tart if you have any.â She had an incurable sweet tooth and could never really help herself, especially when it came to pastries. âHad many people through today?â Cringing a little at her poor attempt of small talk, sheâd never been one to start conversations, this ⌠this is precisely why she didnât talk a lot.
âsure have,â she answered with a nod, smile wide and bright. she couldnât help but beam with pride when she thought about how popular her pastries had become with the townsfolk; baking had been a passion of hers for decades now. âhmmm... looks like youâre getting the last cherry tart, in fact! iâll have to pop a few more in the oven.â she placed the items nyx had ordered on the counter in front of her. âthatâll be $7.50. you get a little bit of a family discount, just between us animilia fairies.â
