Dorcas rolled her eyes playfully, sipping from the straw, “I’ve never dated an American, you mean.”

“Is that a problem that all Quidditch players have? Slobbering everywhere? Gross.”

That isn’t the sort of wet we come out to pubs to be. Gross.

The one slobbering all over his girlfriend. I think my dog drools less. Not that there’s anyone here worth getting the other sort of wet over.

“We will.” Sturgis exhaled slowly. “I need to see Dorcas. Make sure she’s–” No, of course she wouldn’t be okay, but he had to see her. 

“Yeah, of course. I’m sure she’s fine, but seeing is better than guessing. I’ll see you when you come to update the protection charm?” 

Morning or night person?

Night person. Which makes the fact that I have to be at work at 7 am the worst thing in the world and means I don't get enough sleep ever.

Favorite pizza topping?

Cheese. Literally any and all kinds of cheese. In undergrad, we went to this pizza place all the time that had ricotta, and it was always a magical experience.

Your zodiac sign?

Aries. Sometimes I will pretend I'm not a very good Aries. Don’t believe me if I try to tell you this because I’m lying. 

Your Hogwarts house?

Ravenclaw. Which you will be able to pick up after talking to me for five minutes, I’m pretty sure. 

Do you like a lot of ice in your drinks or a little?

Aaaaall the ice. I can't stand lukewarm drinks.

What song is the one song you know every word to without thinking about it?

I'm not much of a music person tbh. I mostly listen to podcasts. Lots and lots of podcasts. If you need some good good recs, I got them. 

Too hot or too cold?

Too cold. I sleep with a fan on no matter the temperature outside.

If you had to pick a fictional universe to live in, other than Harry Potter, what would you pick?

My first thought was Narnia? But not like White Queen era, but like The Horse and His Boy era. I think that’d be fun, even if you did have to deal with god lion every so often. Nothing else good is coming to mind. I’ve been reading a lot of historical fiction lately, which is exactly a fictional universe, so nothing else is coming to mind.

Cold Pizza for Breakfast or Breakfast for Dinner?

Breakfast for dinner. Eggs are one of like five things I can successfully cook, so if that counts, I eat breakfast for dinner pretty regularly.

I don’t have a Pinterest board or working ps so: 

uncapped pens, half empty Starbucks cups, old houses, crunchy leaves, puppies, stacks of books

If you encountered a boggart what form would it take?

Something where I couldn't take care of myself. I don't know how a boggart communicates the fear of losing independence but that's what it would be. 

What Hogwarts subject do you think you’d excel at?

I'm feeling Transfiguration? I think McGonagall hits the sweet spot of motivating but not babying, which I kind of need to put more than basic effort into a class. But also I'm old and done with school, who knows what it would've been at 11.

Firewhiskey.

With which fictional character do you feel you most identify?

I feel like I've been struggling with this question for months but the last time I crowd sourced it, the answer was Miranda from Sex in the City and Laurel from How to Get Away With Murder. But I also feel like if you smooshed together Ben Wyatt and Ronan Lynch. So I don't know is the answer, I fail at this question.

With which character from War is Kind do you feel most identify?

“I know.”

“I guess we’ll have to figure out how to get through it then.”

“You don’t need to worry about me, okay?”

“I could say the same to you.” 

“Your flat is safe. I’d swear my life on it.”

“I know. Thank you. You need to be safe too though.” 

“‘Course.”

“Good. Thanks. Because she’s sweet, but not involved in any of... this.” 

“Oh right,” Peter nodded, gulping as he looked around at the invisible protection. “B-but if you need, I’m alright, you know, being out here.”

“Uh huh. Why don’t you deliver your biscuits or whatever, and then we’ll see if someone needs to be outside.” 

Peter opened his mouth and then closed it, eyes downcast as he remembered the after effect of his father being declared dead when he’d been missing for too long. A fake funeral, loads of family, old friends, people around them, all bringing so much food. They’d thrown most of it out, much to Peter’s disappointment. “Y-yeah.. it is,” he breathed, wondering if the container would go into the bin, or be one of the few eaten. 

“We should probably check up on the protection charms and then head inside. Probably no point in just standing out here the whole night.”
