2) if Johnny didnt have the intent to kill he would've never carried a SIX INCH blade. most greasers carried a standard switch blade that alone would due enough damage to stop him from getting jumped and the amount of times he had to stab Bob in order to fully kill him? and if Johnny could have used his jacket to try and stop the bleeding yes he would have been panicking but TWO things Johnny was used to violence he was used to it it wouldn't scare him like it would pony and when pony woke up Johnny was calm, zoning out a bit because who wouldn't but he wasnt freaking out in the slightest not even to mention he had a full on after plan? like he KNEW to go to dallas he knew to hide his identity

2) hate crimes? like twobit did to woman oh... or like dally did to cherry? that was what they all did and signaling Bob out for that makes no sense because then you're admitting you hate half of the character list im sure he didnt just use the rings on Johnny he used them on any greaser they jumped its why cherry looked at ponyboy werid when he said the soc was wearing rings cause she knew it was Bob he wore the rings constantly it wasnt just to hurt people or maybe it was but based of the fact that Bob was obsessed with money and his status was such a huge part of his identity I would think he would wear jewelry a lot more commonly than the rest of the list because his parents had the funds and money was all they had ever given him, and its not bobs fault Johnny got ptsd anybody could get ptsd from being beat and anybody could not Johnny I feel was at a much higher risk because possibly being jumped reminded him of his dad beating on him which he more than likely already had ptsd due to the extent of the abuse and neglect and the jumping just amplified that he didnt "track down ponyboy" pony knew what he was getting into hanging around with a socs girlfriend and even if he didnt twobit was there and so was Johnny * and if Johnny had such bad ptsd he wouldn't be hanging around the girlfriend of the soc who he was so deathly afraid of * but anyway and if anything pony initiated the drowning by spitting on Bob that's how the whole scene began and when the music kicked in pony has seen flims all his life he knows how fights start he talked so much about dallys past even Steve's fights he was negligent and put Johnny in danger which if him and Johnny so called "understood each other without words" then he would understand the fear and the ptsd he knew about the blade as well he knew Johnny was getting beat everyone knew it he allowed the risk of them getting jumped as badly as what had originally happened with Johnny just because he wanted to be bigger to a bunch of drunken mamas boys and actually neglect COULD turn you into a sociopath, childhood neglect can cause tons of unknown and untreated mental health issues and inability to cope (ie bobs alcoholism) and people who couldn't fight back??? Johnny couldn't fight back?? huh? since when sure getting jumped its much harder to fight because there's multiple people beating yo ahh ( 😭 ) BUT he could have fought back i understand ponys hesitation to as a police alert would alert the state and the boys home but he did that anyway and literally instigated the killing sure the attempted murder is on Bob and that's not what im defending but to make it sound like he was the devil incarnate is just wild
