no but we actually Do need to talk about how the 'i like you' 'i like you too' moment comes after the first night they've EVER spent together. like eight years of moments cut short, of saying goodbye too early, of leaving anyway even when they want to stay and thinking the whole time it could mean more, that it probably does mean more, and then they wake up in each other's arms and the only thought in ilya's head is: i thought it would feel like this. i wanted it to feel like this. so he has to say it. he has to say 'i like you' because shane said they were going to be honest with each other and honestly? ilya likes him. and shane likes him too!!!!!!!!!! and how fucking comforting must it have been to know they were right?????? to know that they kept clinging on for a reason???? that it wasn't just lust or infatuation or habit. they got to spend the whole night together and it was everything they wanted it to be i'm just?????????? where is the fic where someone writes about their first lazy morning in bed together where is it???????????
