When I first realized I was Aegosexual it was a classic case of seeing the term, looking it up, reading a wiki article and going “huh, that sounds familiar”
Now recently I found myself reading the Wikipedia article again, but I was bit confused because it was way more bare bones than I remembered. Not bad per se, just a bit basic, I distinctly remembered there being a whole detailed list of common aegosexual experiences that was now no where to be seen. I checked through the edit history to see if someone had removed it for some reason, but as far as I could tell it had always been that way.
It was very perplexing for me
Then a couple days later, for completely unrelated reasons, I ended up looking at an LGBTQIA+ wiki article, and immediately realized that they have near identical article layouts. Sure enough, the article I had remembered was on there, not Wikipedia.
Now I don’t know how or why I ended up reading from that wiki instead of just using Wikipedia, but what I do know is that that example list was key to me understanding the term and how it applied to me, and if I had used Wikipedia back then then I think I would have missed my moment
