when you enter the last room of ACCA’s amazing Sovereignty exhibit, you see this collection of banners used to defend the rights of Australia’s First People. As you can see here, many banners are missing - taken down to be used today to continue their fight. Art taken off the gallery walls itself to fight NOW, in this present day. Is there a more moving concept??
