i know there's been a lot of 'there's gonna be a market crash in the video game industry' doomsaying in recent years, but i gotta say: When you have Sony nuking physical media in the name of profit margins, Xbox shuttering legacy studios they bought only a couple years ago by the half dozen, and every major publisher claiming that 'no, really, AI is TOTALLY foundational to our business' as every hardware manufacturer doubles the price of all their consoles precisely because of the same AI bullshit that their software peers are banking their continued overpriced evaluations on, Well. It at least feels very video game market crash adjacent.
