“I’m not little,” he said, after swallowing the mouthful of food. “I’m already thirteen. That means I’m only thirty-seven years away from reaching my majority.” Any look at him, however, would prove his words wrong. He was still quite a dainty little elfling, with big eyes and big ears to match.

"Thirteen? I see! You must be trusted with much responsibility at this age." What did he know though, he couldn't even recall which of his memories belonged to his thirteenth year. But he had noticed the boy's hands, though they held the fork and plate with an elegant, light grip, a trace of roughness crossed the top of his palm. 

"Oh, you don't like it? I have some salt..." He shuffled through his bag, unrolling the carefully collected herbs for his medicines. And there in a small vial was sparkling sea salt. Beleg's eyes glowed softly in the firelight as he handed it over with a smile.
