the idea of constant accessibility through texting feels like a genuine infringement of my autonomy to me like it’s hard for me because i am a dope conversationalist and enjoy really engaged, long, wandering chats but mostly over the phone or in person instead of text. texts feel… depleting to me, exhausting. it’s shallow but it’s constant, at once both understimulating and overstimulating for me. it’s fucking wack being a face to face girl in a phone world. i’m sorry i never text back—it is actually because i love you too much to send you some bullshit just for the sake of it.
