people are so hard on the ottawa decision and like yeah it is a little bit objectively crazy for ilya to move to the floppingest team in the league where he knows a total of two people and they’re his secret boyfriends parents but the thing is that they weren’t seeing it that wayyyyyy bc shane proposed it out of love and a desire to have ilya close and ilya accepted it so readily out of love and why wouldn’t he when he was being offered something so promising and beautiful that he was lacking so severely. shanes proposal wasn’t ‘move out here to Flop and hate your life’ it was ‘BE WITH MEEEEEEEEE’ and ofc ilya was so blindsided by his depression in tlg bc why would he ever think that accepting love would ever be something that could hurt him. he didn’t know that was something that could happen bc he’d never loved or been loved by someone that much!!!! and why would shane think that anything could be wrong when they both had everything that they were saying they ever wanted and were working towards more .. sorry this post has no point i just love love and at the end of the day it’s so beautiful that they took such a big swing out of pure love and desire to build something together ….. even if it wasn’t perfect bc what else were they supposed to do 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
