Oddly placed commas that don't seem to serve any actual purpose in punctuation, but make it look like you should take odd pauses, as William Shatner does when delivering lines.

This is what Shatner commas look like: When, we get to, the restaurant, we should, order some, tasty, beverages.

Fangirling takes commitment! 

Shows come and go. Interests increase and wane. But my love for certain actresses...? 

My latest fangirl crush is Lana Parrilla.

She's great as the Evil Queen In Once Upon a Time.

But...a confession here. If I had to choose between my latest fangirl crush and my longtime love. I'd pick my longtime love.

Kate Mulgrew. 

I've only seen Lana on Once Upon a Time but Kate Mulgrew? She's been on, first and foremost, Star Trek Voyager. Then she's been Katharine Hepburn, RED on Orange is the New Black, Cleopatra,... a mother with drinking problems and the wife of a politician. (Honestly there's more, she's had a very long acting career!)  She's incredibly versatile and I really do like my multidimensional actresses. 

Nevermind her age! Put in her hair (through the years!), her smoky voice, the way she gesticulates with her hands and the way she puts her entire soul into the character that she's enliving. 

Yes, Kate Mulgrew. Every. Single. Time. 

Overnight shift. Have a minimum of 8 hours of complete silence.

4 hours down. Still a blinking cursor on a blank page.

Distracted myself with doing some actual cleaning, twice.

No writing done but tomorrow the house will have a clean, shiny floor and spotless windows.

After entering the hazy nebula of Writers Block, our warp engines have stalled to a complete halt. After seven days, our engineers are still baffled and we are coasting by on impulse drive.

Our creative circuit has been blasted in the process of trying to reboot navigation and even with assistance from the resident former Borg drone, we continue to be lost in a sea of plots that go absolutely nowhere.
