I’m back from my year-long “vacation”. Lots of things to catch up now. It’s almost summer, but the weather people don’t know that.

The illustration was commissioned for the Summer School on Symbiosis for PhD students that will be happening between July and August at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, Portugal. Learn more here.

I try to imagine where expressions like this one come from.

Got dopa? Come to the science side, we have dopa(mine). (I honestly tried to make this as misleading as possible but I couldn't find any reference as 'dope' being a nickname for 'dopamine'. Too bad. Zoom to see the dopamine molecule under the microscope.)
