The Israeli occupation forces launched drone strikes on my husband, Fayez, and my son, Mohammad.

my husband was hit in the head, while my son Mohammad was wounded in his legs

Although my husband's condition has stabilized, my son is still suffering immensely and urgently needs medical treatment outside Gaza.

I lost most of my family. I'm afraid to lose my son too 🥺 .

I speak to you from the heart of a mother who is watching her son collapse before her eyes 💔😥

My heart bleeds with pain for Adam whose weak body cannot bear the catastrophic environment in which he lives

He lost 15 kilograms of his weight due to the lack of special food for a disabled child who has difficulty swallowing and digesting

Now he suffers from a health problem that has affected his respiratory system as a result of the dust, destruction and polluted environment surrounding him

He suffers from muscle spasms due to the lack of medicine, as he needs medicine that he takes in two doses daily, morning and evening

Imagine with me, O human, that you have a disabled child and you stand helpless, unable to provide him with food, medicine or shelter, as we live in a tent that resembles a grave

There is a HUGE push to pass KOSA rn at the end of the year.

Real quick summary: Blumenthal and Blackburn "rewrote" KOSA to appeal to the right more. They worked with ELON MUSK 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️ to push this bill "protecting kids". Tomorrow, many orgs are bringing groups of parents to speak to congress. Top of the agenda is to go after providers of gender affirming care, including for adults. The FTC could also go after online platforms for displaying LGBTQ content which would be supercharged under KOSA. This is catastrophically bad.

Justin Brookman (@justinbrookman.bsky.social) Punchbowl's @benbrodydc.bsky.social got a copy of FTC Commissioner Andrew Ferguson's pitch to be chair under Trump:

There are two ways KOSA can be passed right now. Either from the House or attaching it to an end of year spending bill. They will try both.

Republican leadership(Scalise and Johnson) are surprisingly what is stopping thia from going through. They wont admit it out loud but they dont like the bill.
