If the narrative stops treating Buck like Chris's parent figure only because he's got Theo now, I fear I WILL stop caring about canon at all. Like, make buddie happen, don't, give everyone a girlfriend idc I can mostly deal with it (hello, fanfiction) but trying to minimise Buck's role in Chris's life, and trying to replace Chris in Buck's might be the final straw.
The Harry 'no one has kids except us' line was just stupid and I wish they'd have cut that (also, Ravi and May don't have kids either so wtf you on about. Guess what you don't have? A PARTNER, Buck.)
Also, why tf does everyone NEED to have a child? Like having kids is the ultimate aim? You know you can have a full and fulfilled life WITHOUT kids too?

I’m sorry but if the purpose of Eddie getting stabbed is just so Buck could see Eddie and Chris together and want that for him and Theo then what are we doing? This should be an event to serve Eddie’s character not anyone else
one thing they got right in the season finale, if we think about it, is eddie being alone, bleeding, and nobody noticing he wasn't there.
they were hugging each other like a family while eddie was still stuck. that's basically what's been happening for a long time now.
eddie is alone. he is not part of the 118 family and the show has been making it clear.
he is there for them, but they never are there for him. (like athena said: 'this isn't about you.')
he only had bobby and buck; now he only has buck (and even that isn't the same. their friendship isn't the same).
i thought that with him and hen being closer things would change, but i was wrong.
lowkey pissed that eddie's stabbing was used to further the theo plot. can't a man have religious psychosis for his own reasons.

athena having a coma dream for the 52962th time, eddie bleeding out the whole time just to end in nothing (and only serving to further distance him from the 118 family), chim and hen were more worried about eddie than buck was (but at least he was the first to notice eddie's absence i guess)buck leaning on harry instead of eddie to talk about theo, them making it clear that buck isn't part of eddie and chris's family, the immigrant storyline treated like nothing.
'oh but oliver said in the interview that buck will lean on eddie to take care of theo'
yeah, ryan said the same thing and there was nothing. tim minear said buck and eddie would be closer because of episode 13 and guess what? nothing.
they can say whatever they want; if they don't deliver, it doesn't matter.
and if people keep settling for every little crumb they give us, then they will continue to do this shit.
ok not to be beat my own dead horse about how they framed chris staying with eddie as this thing that made buck realize that he had to reunite with 'his own' kid but they could NOT have chosen a more stupid thing to make buck feel left out about. like christopher explicitly Did That for buck when he was in a coma. he snuck into the hospital room despite protests. he wouldn't let anyone keep him from seeing buck. buck literally already had that!!!
