✸Tribulations - 41k - Percy and Nico are caught in an argument between two goddesses and are put to the test. They must prove the strength of their bond to survive or lose their freedom forever.

That was a recurring theme in Nico's life, and every time he would lose something important, in order to keep something that wasn't his in the first place.

When Styx offers to save Percy down in Tartarus, no price seems too big for Nico to ensure the survival of the boy he loves.

He has already given up everything for Percy, after all.

Mitchell was your typical demigod at Camp Half-Blood, just your average Son of Aphrodite.

Except for his unique, if useless, gift. He could see the threads of love between people. Romantic, platonic, familial, he could see all types of love. Not exactly useful power on the battlefield.

Then one day his mom decided to make his gift a bit more useful.

Percy and Annabeth had been going eight years strong - or at least that's how it had appeared to everyone on the outside. They were supposed to be the power couple of all demigods but underneath it all Percy had been suffering for longer than he even knew. Now Nico di Angelo appears with an outstretched hand and an opportunity for a new start.

Let's see how far a road trip can go.

Nico looked as if he'd rather risk hypothermia than share a sleeping bag with me. I knew he didn't like me much these days, though not why, but I felt that this was slightly excessive.

13. ✸Waves carry us away - 135k - Nico finally has a chance to leave his life in California behind after a bad relationship and move to New York for a fresh start in life. Although the last thing he was looking for was another relationship, he found himself falling helplessly for the bad boy of SOCU, one Perseus Jackson, who made it his job to try to break Nico out of his shell. What a cliché, but what followed was anything but what would be in a thirteen year old girl’s diary.

14. ✸I remember you - 40k - Percy had simply woken up without his memories one day, so when he arrived at Camp Jupiter and met Nico di Angelo, the one person he could actually remember, Percy was determined to do everything in his power to get close to Nico again.

15. ✸All I want for Christmas - 22k -

Percy Jackson has it all. He has a loving (and rich) family, a best friend he would go through hell for, he has a nice appartment and even a horse actually.

The thing is that ever since he was a little boy, he linked his fortune to one man - Santa Claus. So as an adult multi-billionaire, he dedicates his life to finding Santa Claus.

Santa Claus, or Nico seeing as that is his preferred nickname, is well-aware of his biggest fanboy, yet it still comes as a surprise when Percy is found near the workshop, nearly frozen to death after venturing to the North Pole to find him.

16. ✸Percy Jackson, Ambassador of Hades - 149k - After Sally married Gabe, Poseidon could hear his son's pain. Unlike in canon, the god doesn't turn a blind eye on the man abusing his former lover and his only demigod son, so he goes and gets Percy out of there. But where would he be safe? Amphitrite would kill the child if Poseidon brought him down under the sea and everywhere else, he'd risk Zeus' wrath. So Poseidon goes and asks Hades for a favor. To take the boy in and hide him in the underworld, shielded from the curious eyes of others. Hades agrees, under the condition that one day, Percy would marry one of Hades' children. So Percy grows up in the underworld, raised and trained by Hades and his underworld council. When the Titan War approaches, Hades frees Nico and Bianca from the Lotus Hotel, but Hades' and Poseidon's deal changes so many more than just Percy's life. Bianca becomes the head huntress and Nico becomes a celebrated hero at Camp Half-Blood. What happens when Hades sends Percy to camp, as his ambassador, to help Bianca and Nico in their quest for the Sea of Monsters...?

Nico di Angelo was tired of running. He thought it would have got easier with the longer he ran but no, it only appeared to be getting harder. He was now nineteen and the older he got the more he started to understand why others wanted to “settle down” and “lead a quiet life”, or as quiet as a demigod life can be anyway.

After four years of not seeing anyone in person, Nico decided to visit to Hazel who just so happens to be spending the summer at Camp Half-Blood. There he bumps into the person who started his running but maybe this time he'll find a reason to stay.

18. ✸Welcome Back - 125k -

Percy Jackson became a recluse guy, awkward with people and resentful. Hidden in an oldapartment in Harlem, his routine is summed up in a vicious cycle: waking up, killingmonsters, college, guilt. Sleep, if he was lucky.

On one of his countless sleepless nights, at three in the morning, someone knocks on hisdoor. When he decided that answering would be the best option, he is surprised to realize thatthe one standing there was not a threat - at least not yet.

Nico Di Angelo, with his stygian-iron sword firmly in his hilt, whispers the five words thatwould turn Percy's new world upside down:

"I, um ... I need help."
