I could never burn myself out on Iron Lung. You must not understand; I was the weird kid in high school making Fallout 4 space AUs. This is a like a dream come true for me.

I know my blog sort of serves as an opinionated writing piece, and I don't want that to get muddled up in the wiki, so I'm having to sit and sift through what is inference and what is fact, split those up, and divide them under proper categories.

I am only one man, and I feel absolutely awful that I have to put asks and my other fics on the back burner until I get this done, but I feel like this is probably the most important task I have right now, up there with transcribing Iron Lung (which I completed! Still proud of myself for that one.)

And I love you too, Anon! You guys are the reason I do this. Seeing you happy and excited makes my whole day as a content creator. Just FYI. You have been nothing but kind to me this whole trip and I expected nothing less from the Markiplier-adjacent community. He raised you guys right.

It's not about being tough on crime, because the absolute toughest most brutal measure you could take against "crime" as a social problem is to alleviate poverty, and increase access to education, healthcare and social mobility.

It's about performing "tough on crime" as an aesthetic by enacting violence against a prop, i.e. minorities and the impoverished, who are fetishized and objectified to represent "crime." They are brutalized as punishment for crime, but never with the purpose of alleviating the problem of crime.
