From fear, to confusion to awe in 3 seconds!

I love that they go the extra step to show more expression. They could have shot straight from fear to awe, or just cut away from his face entirely after the first expression to the next scene like this:

And saved on some animation cost. Both move the story and show Raph’s initial reaction, but those extra expressions really add more to him.

I know it’s nothing new, but 4 seasons and it still amazes me how much thought they put into the facial details, even in the background where it’s often missed.
