As you can tell I forgot what new day this is of the project. However I got to do some updates for this class. Cause ya know I wanna pass. So today I have my Emotional Support Buddy named RRRRRRRoco who will be helping me write my post for today.

Here is what I got so far

Today in Cornell after a long struggle of disappointing equipment and many MANY issues. My partner for today @crookedlyatomicjess and I had suffered a long journey. We still have not figured out what happened.

During this week I had decided to work on one of my more heavy projects, the sally face guitar. I decided Wood was the easiest and have the most realistic approach. Using illustrator and fusion 360 I was able to create a file to make the guitar. Because the Cnc was not able to fully reach the full size of my original cut out. My mentor Yoav had a very creative idea that greatly helped me in with this process. He said making the guitar like a puzzle, pieces that you can put together. Which I really enjoyed and because it is a prop and not going to be playable, it would be cool to have the ability to take if apart and put together.

After a couple days I was able to go after hours and use the Cnc. With the help of Ronald he had taught me the ways of using this advanced machinery that I never expected to use.

It was a long process that destroyed my eardrums, yes I had the ear muffs on, but did I hear the screeching sound still... yes I did and it hurt a lot but it was all worth it in the end. Tomorrow I plan on going back to the maker space and sanding down my guitar so the pieces can fit together cause current the pieces are not exactly fitting. As you can see in the video below.

After taking the time to figure out what I shall be doing for my project and how I will be completely such a complex task.

I have decided to work on the L on Luigi’s hat since it was the only thing possible with the limited material available. The L is the ideal size for the Hat.

Today in Fab class we learned how to make a circuit, with the help of user @crookedlyatomicjess we made a switch circuit and other failed attempts. The only thing that we were able to work out was the Bread board.

Before I decided on doing these props for personal projects in school I was planning a on making some personally on my own as a side project when I wasn’t doing the school project. Because of this I have already made a cardboard cut out for the sizing of the Sally Face Guitar

This cardboard layout will be used for planning the Sally Face Guitar. I will making a cut out of possibly styrofoam or wood.

After a sad incident that happened with a fellow peer within my school I’ve been forced into rewriting the sad journey I have taken to find what I will be doing for my personal Project.

My original Idea for my personal project was well technically it was an electric Bike, Bluetooth helmet, hand massagers, and other random ideas. However after having time to complete only one of those projects I decided to do something more realistic for time and do a foldable bike.

Once more I had to change my ideas around, I found out I would recieving a bike within the next two months and I had decided to do something completely different. Trying to figure out something that would be under the 80 dollar budget and reasonable within the time limits.

After remembering my friend’s upcoming birthdays I decided to make them gifts. Something that can be loved by them all as well as something that can be made unique for each individual I will be giving them too.

I Jalisa Alvarez had finally decided after the hard thinking and learning machinery and everything. I will be making plushies and props for the local youth that is my friend group.
