There are some people you’ll never see again. At least, not in the same way.

Don’t let go too soon, but don’t hold on too long.

You see, you closed your eyes. That was the difference. Sometimes you cannot believe what you see, you have to believe what you feel. And if you are ever going to have other people trust you, you must feel that you can trust them, too, even when you’re in the dark. Even when you’re falling.

Learn this from me. Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves.

So, I don’t trust men. I don’t believe they’re what they say they are. I’m afraid they’re going to let me down.
