So we discover that yes; Armand has been stalking Daniel for the past 52 years, that’s as much as Daniel thinks right now. What we as the viewer that knows DM in the books will assume with this new information is that Armand and Daniel were actually romantically together for the 12 years, broke up for whatever reason, and Armand couldn’t resist checking in and staying near his boy in someway. Great, sounds good. Now we learn that Armand wasn’t necessarily hands off during that period of time. We know he adjusted events with the college student and with his daughter, things that cause Daniel pain and duress and were low moments for him. In Armands eyes he changed that and protected Daniel. This is when I went “OoOOooOOhhh no hold on now”.

We know that Daniel got married to his first wife Alice (even tho it was an incredibly juicy fun theory, I do think that Alice is very much real now and for the most part Armand is separate) but Daniel tells us in S1 that in fact she says no the first time he proposes to her, which honestly, just recounting the event was emotionally hard for Daniel to think back on. But for some reason she changes her mind and does say yes and marries him. We know Armand was lingering around at the time, in S2 Armand gives pretty distinct internal thoughts about what Alice was thinking of Daniel and why she said no. What if Armand; in his completely fucked up way, made Alice change her mind and marry Daniel in a way to preserve his happiness!!?! Bc I do want to say this. Daniel is a dick and whole heartedly not a good person, probably the reason why Alice didn’t want anything long term with him, and why Daniel and Armand do work together. But I truly believe Daniel did love her, at least the best he knew how, which was probably not well if we’re being honest (and listen, I don’t want to admit or think that Daniel loved anyone else but Armand ok lol, but with the memories gone I do believe he was in love with her, and part of me doesn’t mind it actually) the things Daniel says about her in both season 1 and 2 and I’m paraphrasing “Part of her eyebrow was blonde and she used to cover it up.. I liked it when she left it alone” & “I liked the way she walked in it, she was confident” these things and the way he says it really shows that she wasn’t some random girl he was seeing and had to marry for social norms, he knew her and fell for her and he liked when she didn’t cover up her imperfections and when she would light up with confidence in her nice dress. That’s not nothing, especially for a guy as cynical as Daniel, he managed to find joy and love. And if Armand was protecting Daniel from great pain and even more heartbreak from someone that he managed to truly find love in and move on with (not know Armand exists) he would make her change her mind, turn back around, and tell Daniel yes….

That’s so fucked up and so crazy but soooo on brand with how Armands mind works. He doesn’t care about anyone else besides a select few in his bubble, if you’re not in that bubble, then you are nothing. He would not care about how Alice feels, he might actually understand her reasoning for saying no (probably the same reason Armand says no to turning Daniel too) but if she makes him happy then Armand could fix that. In his eyes this is the perfect way to set Daniel on the right path and have that normal healthy human life he thinks Daniel should have. Get married, have kids, get clean, have the job, live a mortal life.

And Daniel when he finds out, I think it would be the ultimate crashout. Armand not only taking 12 years of his life away but orchestrating his marriage!? “So Alice didn’t choose to be with me? To love me!?” It was all a lie, and Daniel never knew. Now that would make him livid, yet again Armand can’t help but control the people around him and choose for them (even if he thinks it’s for their benefit) It’s so fucked up and so uncomfortable and make so many crazy Armand size holes in Daniels life (I can’t tell if it’s too far for even devils minion😂)

And the worst part (besides the forced marriage) is that Daniel really didn’t want this, it’s what Armand thought he should have and what he thought he took away from Daniel. Daniel wanted Armand (and we could go into the whole scope of past DM and what their love meant to each other but this post would be even longer and it’s technically not confirmed yet soo) but if past DM did happen, Daniel only wanted Armand. Not the kids. Not the wife. Not the white picket fence.

Just Armand.

Something that is making me miserable and now in turn I will be making you miserable too. So if Daniel and Armand die they wouldn’t be able to find each other?! If Louis and Lestat die (permanently yes I know last episode) they can’t find each other?!! Well what the fuck is that lmao. I’m not emotionally stable enough with that information. The fact the Claudia can’t find Madeline is so freaking depressing dude. Maybe because it’s purgatory but still wtf. Literally never tell Armand this information, that dude is so terrified of death as is but if you add that he’ll be aimlessly alone and searching for Daniel forever, same for Lestat… cut the cameras seriously😭😭
