The writers have also made Armand a villain for the second season in a row and made him commit horrible acts of violence that have only made viewers hate him more. So, for his character to continue to play a major part in the narrative, they have to at least try to make him likeable. It will never erase the egregious harm he has caused (just like how learning about Lestat this season shouldn't erase his violence against Louis and Claudia), but it will hopefully get viewers to be more understanding.

I also desperately want them to get more into the nitty-gritty of his story because I am getting really sick and tired of some people putting his trauma on the same level as Lestat's and implying that Armand's actions make no sense since Lestat doesn't act like that. Their characters can absolutely be seen as foils, but the extent of Armand's torments has barely been touched on at all. Like, his whole story is a fucking horror show. I don't wanna play trauma olympics, but his baggage unfortunately blows Lestat's out of the water.

I didn’t hate the music by any means but there’s something about characters dramatically singing in tv shows/movies that are not explicitly musicals that makes me so uncomfortable like I get so embarrassed for no reason 😭😭
