a little bowie knife commision i have just finished . the blade is 12.25 inch long 40mm wide give or take and 6mm thick at the spine bearing steel . etched finish with polished edge and clipĀ

this is a cinquedea knife fron around the 15th century i was comisioned to make for a good customer .cinquedea means five finger and refers to the width of the blade . they were usually very ornate and guilded but my skills dont go that far. its my first and my last i can tell you
