The horrors of the Gnome Wars have left scars upon the land that will never truly heal.
Swordtember 2025 day 22- Gnome. Inspired by the Cinquedea.
The sword of the day is the cinquedea.
This short sword originated in northern Italy during the renaissance. The name means “5 fingers,” which refers to the width of the blade at the guard. Though they didn’t all have the ornate engraving seen here, they did all possess multiple fullers; grooves that run down the blade and decrease weight without sacrificing too much structural integrity.
