Feeling Bookish

As soon as I started this book I could not put it down. I finished it in one weekend. It is such a good read and the details really made you feel like you were on a vacation with your friends. I loved the friend group and wanted to learn more about each couple.

I loved the Latina representation and how the author showed how even when we make the choice to leave our home behind for bigger dreams it is still not an easy choice and the struggle it is to fit in to a whole new culture and how it is okay to miss home.

I loved how both main characters, although they come from different worlds l are both a lost and looking for something. Manuela comes from a different country and speaks a different language and feels like she can’t find the place where she belongs. Connor has always been a part of the group and has always been in this world but it never quite felt right. Both find comfort in each other and are able to be themselves without any fear. What starts off as just something that should end in 2 weeks turns in to something more
