I reached out to @alethialia a short while back about creating a fanfic/fanart collab piece, just for fun, and she was SO KIND and said yes, and finally we reached the day for posting it.
Everyone please go read Fresh Perspective by Alethia: "In 2.07, when Abbot is being treated by Mohan, Robby walks by and does a double-take, which was scripted. Santos walks by and does aΒ triple-take, which was not scripted. Given her history, I can't imagine that Santos just leaves that alone, especially since "our little secret" was the exact phrase she used in S1 when relating her own abuse. So. A take on it."
Amazing story, excellent character nuance, describes this episode in a light I didn't even consider before.

Ally Is Doing A Thing...Rabbot Edition
In a fit too much boredom, an intense obsession with Robby/Rabbot, and a ridiculous love for making playlists with patterns, I came up with the idea of having twenty-six get together Rabbot fics, each with a title stemming from the lyrics of a song that started with every letter of the alphabet.
And trust me when I tell you that I spent a stupid amount of time making sure that each fic title DID NOT include the actual title of the song. Because AuADHD Brain said that would be cheating, and cheating is bad. Or something.
Anyway.
Behold:
The fics will not be posted in alphabetical order, because my brain loves patterns, but it absolutely refuses to abide by them and will not let me write them in alphabetical order. Welcome to my world. (They will, however, be numbered in alphabetical order on AO3, because to do otherwise would cause that same brain to pitch a fit. Yes, seriously.)

I'm so glad you asked, because the AMAZING AND BRILLIANTLY TALENTED @bompeii graciously answered my unexpected and insane DM on a random spring day and somehow agreed to tailor a piece of their beautiful artwork for me to use for the playlist graphic for this series. New Fic Alert!
The first fic in my The ABCs Of Finally Getting (It) Together Series has been posted!
It would mean a stupid amount to me if you'd read and kudos/comment. Like, no seriously, a ridiculously stupid amount. This is my fic Rabbot fic and my first fic at all in about five years.
So much thanks to @bompeii for the art (check the beginning notes of the fic!), @vickiexz for being my long suffering beta, and @imfinnabeinthepitt-2025 and @classic-cevans for reading it over and telling me to post it anyway.
Summary:
Years later, Jack still wouldnβt be able to explain why this person was the one to make him break. It had been two days of people coming up to him to ask about Robby, some with ready-made excuses, some with no intention of hiding what they were after. It had also been two days of watching Robby remain oblivious to each and every one of them, always returning to Jackβs side like a loyal dog.
Or: Robby and Jack attend a conference, where Robby is clearly the star of the show. Eventually, Jack is forced to stake a claim. Now he just has to tell Robby that heβs in love with him.

What an amazing story β¨
The first time Dr. Michael Robinavitch encounters Detective Jack Abbot is on a Tuesday afternoon outside Central Seven. Jack has a black eye and tension in his shoulders from being on high alert. It's not the last time they meet. Jack continues to come into the ED with suspicious injuries, and as their friendship grows, Jack refuses to let Robby in and tell him what's really going on. Robby is convinced something bad is going to happen to the person he's started to fall for, and he feels powerless to stop it.
I don't read cop!Jack fics normally but I do recommend this one, it is its own kind of special goodness β€οΈ
