“but i don’t really... prefer it. it looks bland.” she kept pouting, looking at the son of hades. “easy for you to say, black hair looks great on you.” bomi sighed, sitting nearby with slumped shoulders. “six months is too long. but i guess i can just shut up and go with it again i guess.” she shrugged. “you think goth bomi could be a thing, though? like that’s a whole aesthetic i don’t have.”

“oh, no... oh, no...” bomi kept muttering to herself, clutching her blonde hair in her hands and staring down at it where a few black strands started to appear since the beginning of october. she was one of the very rare dryads who naturally changed hair colors due to the seasons and the state of their leaves. since it was fall, her hair was starting to turn darker and slowly into complete blackness. “not... not again.” she pouted. “i can tolerate my leaves falling, but i want to keep my blonde hair!” 

“oh, gods!” her hand dramatically paused over her ‘O’ shaped mouth out of astonishment. “that’s somehow even better!!” bomi clapped her hands, laughing. she really couldn’t wait for this long awaited revenge, and she’s always known that ophelya was going to be the right person to help her out. “can we pretty please do it? please? that’s going to be so funny!” 

it’s been months since that stupid incident, but here was bomi, still trying to find a way to get revenge on gavino for stapling her tree. it shouldn’t be worth it anymore, but really, nothing could beat the wrath of a nymph... who’s also never punished anyone before and is clueless on what would be the best way to get revenge. “hmm... we can’t do the last one, then you’d be messing with other nymphs and they wouldn’t like that.” she said thoughtfully. “how about a combination of being stapled every time he sits down, and it can only stop whenever he listened to a song. it should be a really annoying song that he wouldn’t want to have on repeat, though, you know? like ‘ i’m a barbie girl ’ or barney’s theme song.” 

“but...” bomi took a deep breath and let it out, trying to balance her breathing. every year at the end of the summer, and at every 4th of july there was a fireworks show and it was always the worst thing bomi had to endure, usually hiding in her tree with her hands over her ears. she had no idea why she hated them so much, all she remembered was growing up being scared of the sounds they made. the nymph was now walking with someone towards the beach, and she had no idea how to leave, so she decided to just say it out loud “i-i, uh... i hate the fireworks... can we not go see them?” she asked. “or... you can go, and i’ll just... go back to my tree or something.” 

“a mortal! i’ve never tried leaving camp and i always wondered what mortals’ lives were actually like. people make them sound so boring, but i have to see for myself.”

“i’m pretty close with oreads? i find them to be second best to dryads, just because we’re a little more similar to each other than other types of nymphs. and cabin... i find myself loving the demeter and persephone cabins, for obvious reasons. and the aphrodite one too, it’s hard not to love the queens living there.”

“maybe a kind of fruit tree? i don’t know. i love being a magnolia, i would never want to change it.”

“i hope you get fucked with a stapler and die.”
