This Mountain Laurel Lace Dress from Free People is so romantic! The picture doesn’t do justice to the piece . I picked this up from Nordstrom Rack for $50 and unfortunately it isn’t available online. However there are a few sizes left here for $168.00. If you have a #nrack close to you- it’s probably worth the trip :)
Jhumka's I love thou!
Jhumka's are one of my favorite fashion accesories! They could add some spunk to you outfit without much effort. Mine are from Bombay and were a gift from my sister.
The Backstory- I have always been a "junk" jewellery person and jhumkas were a regular feature in my life in Bombay (as a student and as a professional), but for some reason I thought I wouldn't need them here.I had just finished a year of school here, in Boston, and was terribly homesick and during one of my conversations with my sister I said I really want to wear a Jhumka.Lo and behold , she bought these and had them sent to me via one of my friends who happened to visit Bombay! Me & My Mini-Me
This dress is a fashion find, which means something I found it @ a place & price I least expected . Here is some back story: When I was a student (which is 7 years ago ! sheesh!), I had been to San Francisco on a school trip. As most students , I too was on a shoe-string budget and I stumbled upton this store called “Ross Dress for less” while I was taking an evening stroll @ Pier 39. I was in bargain heaven! I snagged a lot of good stuff for school at really good prices! I was very pleased by my exploration skills and elated that I could buy decent stuff without breaking my (non-existant) student bank :) But all this excitement was short lived because only once I landed back in Boston and did some googling I realized this store did not exist in Boston!
Now fast forward to 2016: I was visiting my sister and my brother-in-law in California and passed by the store. I had to jump in , for old times sake and it did not dissappoint :) I found this as light as a feather #ChambrayDress by Andrea Jovine for $17!!. This is THE PERFECT outfit for these 90 deg days here in Boston . It is a close alternative to “not wearing anything ” :P
