What's interesting though is that unlike other demons where the demon part of their name is clearly a surname, 'Iruma Sullivan' seems to indicate Samael is his first name. Samael is said to be the one who planted the tree of knowledge, is associated with the serpent from Eden, went to earth to consort with humans, and is an angel of death.

Its very apt ngl! Snake powers, spreads knowledge through being a school principal, adopts humans. This brings up the question, is ^ his power death related???

Do I know he's just saying that to benefit himself? Yes lol fuck Baal, but at its core it's a valid argument, Derkila's crest is way too OP, it completely halted a serious criminal investigation on Sullivan because he (and 2 other people) determined it should be stopped.

With a manga that touches so strongly on the topics of inequality we should acknowledge that Sullivan has indeed abused his power 😖 and that abuse made Baal corner him by looking righteous in front of Shura, precisely because it is a sound argument.
