and then the farmer gets two or three clips in, and the sheep just sort of chills out, and realizes it feels kind of nice. and their coat comes off and five minutes later they're released, shorn and naked, and they go run around with the other freshly-shorn sheep. they rub their skin against the hay and the barn walls and each other, and get startled by the new textures. sometimes they get cold, so they huddle up together or get a under a blanket.

Did you know that Austroplatypus Incompertus is a species of weevil found in the forests of eastern Australia? These weevils are one of the few known species outside of hymenoptera (bees, ants, wasps, sawflies) and isoptera to display an obligate eusocial behaviour, and have been doing so longer than bees.

These beetles work together to cultivate a garden of fungus that they all eat from. These beetles live for a long time (up to 30 years) so they can really build up these communities in their host tree that's also living.

That's a really large beetle.

This is a greater stag beetle, know as European stag beetle, or as I call it "pinch-pinch owchie". Listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
