For anybody suffering from anxiety or fear this word is for you. Let’s first of all recognise anxiety and fear for what it is -a disease. Diseases that have the power to cripple you, slow you down, spread through every part of you and stop you from living a healer and fruitful life. I’m here to tell you today that it is not a disease without cure or diagnosis. The cure is Jesus Christ and diagnosis is HOPE IN HIM. It’s not an easy journey and like recovery from any addiction, it takes time, patience and perseverance. Sometimes all takes is saying “Lord I can’t do this, help me”. Sometimes all it is, is a little prayer. Let’s Pray: Lord as I step into your presence today. I open my heart and welcome you in. Father I cannot do this alone. Fear and anxiety threatens me, Father heal me of this plague as I give all my fears and anxieties to you. Fill me with your courageous love so that there may be no place for anything else. Be Unequivocally YOU and EMBRACE your YOU Every part of it ! These pics and this post is one I’ve kept lingering not only on my phone but in the recesses of my mind for a while ... My whole life or at least most of my teen and adult life I’ve had a distorted consciousness of myself and self-image.I grew up been “the fat-girl” or the fat one not only in my family but often my group of friends (a title I must add given it led to felt by myself). Up until these pictures I had never worn a two piece bikini. So in September when my cousins and I were gearing up for our annual cousins trip to Warmbaths, I deciding on an attitude of fearlessness and conquering all my demons and also inspired by the fearlessness of the amazing bloggers I follow here on Instagram (@bodyposipanda @barbienox and many others ) decided to be brave and wear my first bikini. So I shopped until I found one I liked (this beauty is from @mrpricefashion ). The time came on the holiday I put on my bikini, shorts and kimono. We got to the pool area and it was time for me to remove my “protective gear” and expose my bikini clad body to the world... IT was one of the most liberating moments of my life !! Only because I realised that nobody actually cared how that my thighs touched or that I had a few extra rolls of tubing. The only person who ever cared how I looked was me! And I had been doing a disservice to my inner queen all this time hiding behind these one piece coverings. Safe to say I ended up walking around in just my costume and flip flops the rest of the holiday! So here’s my message to you for the new year: Be YOU! Be fearless in the pursuit of embracing and loving YOU! Don’t hide her SHOW HER OFF to the world because she’s BEAUTIFUL,SPECIAL and heck she deserves it!
