I’m not gonna even bother explaining why I’m making this post; if you’re on Tumblr, you already know.
I did not and still do not intend to post any NSFW art with this blog, but at the same time I cannot help but sit here and shed a silent tear at another company that has become so inundated with corporate shitheads that they can no longer see the ever-widening rift between them and their userbase, and somehow think themselves immune to our decisions. If they do think that, they’re about to find out really, really fast that they’re not.
What I do find myself wondering is if they’ll realize their mistake--like Patreon did when they tried to shift the extra processing fees from the Patreon owner to the actual patrons--but even if they do, I feel majority of the damage is done already. People know your intentions now, where your priorities lie. Even if you take it back, the seed of doubt is planted.
So forgive me, but I can’t use Tumblr in good faith anymore.
In case you want to keep up with me elsewhere, I’m quietly active on Twitter and DeviantArt.
Godspeed, everyone.
