Okayy im assuming you mean makoto? my mha oc? because of the post i did right Okay so, growing up he had a really good relationship with both his parents, really healthy. Until his mom died when he was 10 by a villain who then escaped. His dad (who's a pro hero) entered his grief era and blamed himself for his wife's death. That led him into this whole rabbit hole of getting revenge and threw himself into work, using his connections to track the villain and other shit. Because of this he accidentally forgot about makoto and accidentally neglected him. As in like basically never being home and forgetting to buy basic household items like groceries since he would always eat at his agency and stuff. sometimes makoto would tag along to his agency but all he'd end up doing was wait in some room while his dad worked. This led him to spend a huge amount of his time at katsuki's and izuku's place (mostly izuku). And even then he started to become less dependant on his dad and learned to do stuff himself so he was barely speaking to his dad while he was home. And like a year passes since the death when his dad remembers that he still has a kid to take care of and that just because his world stopped doesnt mean makoto's did. ANd like he's so overcome with guilt and feels like shit that he starts crying and apologising to makoto about not being present and being a bad dad. So he takes a break of heroing for a while to focus on makoto, and while their relationship does improve alot, makoto still ends up with a kinda independent personality where he's distant and isolates himself at times, this leads to his dad trying to over compensate and shoving himself everywhere without giving makoto space to breath, which then makes the distancing even bigger. At the end of the day he still loves his dad alot but calls him alot to handle and stuff.
