Little Milton grew up in the Mississippi delta, and like plenty of artists from Mississippi, he found himself cutting records for Leonard Chess and Chess Records.

This tune, “We’re Gonna Make It”, was his most successful. It hit right in line with the Civil rights movement, earning it’s name from a civil rights sign that he once saw. With that powerful message, Milton brings it all home with a glorious vocal performance that might have the casual listener confusing him with the great Bobby Bland.
