One of the things that I love about Parabati in the Shadowhunter books is how it’s one of the only times in books, movies, or TV shows that platonic relationships are treated like they are as strong as romantic one. A persons parabati is just as if not more important to them as their significant other. I also love how they aren’t chosen by fate, but by the partners themselves. They are platonic soulmates that you chose rather then having them chosen for you. I don’t know why but I just love the concept of them so much.
