someone who hasn't been able to blow their nose all day for whatever reason. so they've been sniffling and snuffling slowly filling up their sinuses through out the day. the pressure is awful. when they finally get home they don't care any more they need to blow NOW, just the thought of blowing is making their nostrils flare and run, sinuses are aching for relief so they press down on their bridge and blow and of course its a heavy gurgling noise as the warm stuff goes down their face. Even if its not much its better, now they just need something to blow the rest into so they're searching around their house with mess dripping down their face, but their nose is still making more. so they say fuck it and blow some more, this time into their hand. Now with their hand cupped to their nose they're still searching when they finally find a box of tissues they relish in the glory of releasing the flood gates of mess

LOVE people who fan their face with their hands when they're about to sneeze. No idea what that's doing but I love the desperation of it all 🩷

you're standing in line at the contagion clinic between a few other healthy people. in a separate line is a sick person who definitely needs more than a couple of tissues. Nose red, streaming, poor person all shivery, shoulders tense and always rubbing at their nose. While you're waiting in line to check in, the sick person gets to the front of their line. A nurse is doing intake behind a plexie glass wall. The poor sickie is answering her questions between hitches, doing their best to what seems like stave off a sneeze that's begging to come out. Eventually their body decides enough is enough and they gasp dramatically and lurch forwards with a harsh wet snz. You watch as mess and spray splatters and drips down on the class at the nurse's face height. More mess is dripping from the sickie's red twitchy nose as they finish with an "ugh excuse bme" and their shoulders slump hard and their face finally slack with relief

I love the concept of sneezing into the thing that is causing you to sneeze. You're tickling your nose with a feather duster AND you use the dusty feathers to sneeze into because they're all right in front of your nose???? Same thing with a bouquet of flowers or something fluffy that would tickle your nose like a big pile of fur or feathers. Perhaps an article of clothing with far too much perfume on it.. ouuhh. The way you'd just sneeze and sneeze and sneeze from this 😵‍💫🩷

sickie who is super insecure about being sick and looking and sounding gross x caretaker partner riddled with guilt at being so excited about getting to be the one to look after them in this state

someone walking into a clinic probably just for their physical or something. and the only space left to sit in the waiting room is next to a person who's OBVIOUSLY unwell. they're bundled up in a blanket or coat, Dabbing at their very red streaming nose and haphazardly snzing, sending tuffs of very contagious spray every where and mess dripping down their face. They try to apologize every so often while the other prays for their turn to be taken back comes faster. But the sick person can barely get through much out between thick wet soppy sniffles, desperate vocal hitches and heavy body shaking snzs.
