A Poké/mon trainer going to face the grass gym but anticipating their horrendous spring allergies getting triggered, so of course they take their meds… but meds can only do so much against prolonged exposure to superpowered creatures giving it their all with constant barrages of plant and pollen-based moves designed to be potent and do harm. Not even through direct crossfire, the aromas and irritants soon fill the stadium, leaving the poor the trainer hitching and sneezing through their attack commands, to the point where their own Mons can no longer follow, because “Umbreon! hh.. u-use… shaAAD-GHSHHU!!” is not exactly a coherent command

imagine being the favorite contagion clinic nurse/doctor to a patient who has awful allergies but their snzs get so stuck most of the time they have to be induced to really get anything out. you're their favorite bc you use the soft tissues and are so gentle with their nose and you're the only one who really knows how to get them snzing and makes sure its all out. you know them like clock work at the end of the work week for them they come in already hitchy, by now they don't have to fill out much paper work. when you see them their eyes are very watery, nose very red, twitchy and runny. all they can say is "seehh saved it fuuhh for ya" You chuckle at them, its no surprise, the pollen index has been high lately. So you know some gentle septum rubs should get them started. You don't even have to tilt their head back much and look inside to know just how much of a mess the insides are but you might push your finger in and feel around just in case. It'll come back covered in snot but that's to be expected

She has one of the most miserable colds you've ever seen but she frustrates every attempt you make to take care of her. Won't use any of the tissues you offer her just keeps wiping her increasingly red nose on her sodden sleeves. Refuses medicine even though she's coughing and moaning and sniffling every few minutes, keeping her from relaxing. Kicks off the extra blankets you bring and only uses them to blow her constantly running nose. Interrupts or shushes you when you try to bless any of her countless sneezes, even if she has to do it mid-sneeze. Doesn't actually deny being sick, just denies you taking care of her at all decently, wallowing purposefully in her sneezy, drippy sickness.

alien plant that tends to set root inside people's sinuses. it likes the damp and warmth! being afflicted with this parasitic plant is treated similarly to a common cold, since it's generally harmless but the irritation tends to cause a runny nose and sneezing. it can be pulled out once leaves start poking out of the nostrils, but it's quite painful and generally recommended to wait until it releases on its own upon maturing. and of course some poor fuckers are allergic to it <3

just thought of a business person coming into the clinic straight from work on a friday afternoon. Dressed in their up tight lil business outfit (this is gender neutral so imagine however you please) soaked from the cold pouring rain. You'd thought it was the rain that has them all sniffly, until you hear them coughing and how thick the congestion is in their voice as they ask you how to get a room bc 'I don't know what's worse my work week or this cold' You a nurse have them fill out an intake form, offer blankets, towels and tissues as you guide them to the waiting room. Poor thing sounds absolutely awful. They set their bag down and slump into the chair as you drape the towel over their shoulders, their top stuck to their upper body from the rain. While you go back to attend the front desk, you eye them every so often as they hitch, sniffle and rub their nose through the paper work. When they finally come up to give it back to you, they have the most pitiful look on their face as they tell you 'fidished it" You can see their nostrils flaring, they're definitely red and angry. It isn't long before you hear a desperate gasp and snz and see them rocked forward hard with the blanket cupped to their nose and mouth. You watch them pull it away and solemnly cringe, strings of snot were oozing down. Yet another sneeze interrupts them and they mutter a soft 'excuse be'

idea based on one of @snifflybaby 's comments on a previous post a contagion Nurse who gets absolutely drenched by a messy cold snz. They think nothing of it besides 'i did sign up for this didn't i?' just wipe their face with their hand and continue with their day. What they don't know is said patient had a VERY contagious and snotty cold, more so than normal. So when the poor nurse wakes up nose constantly buzzing with an awful tickle, thick heavy congestion that no matter how many times they blow their nose wont truly clear for more than a second, they were doomed. Not to mention their snzs got so desperate, they could hardly talk while they attempted to call out of work. Breath catching or gasping vocally and lurching forwards with each snz that could barely be contained by a handful of tissues

I'm sure you are all familiar with the concept of dragons and fire manipulators sneezing flames, but I have a different take. I present to you Vapor-Lock Flu, a non-contiguous illness that only affects hydrokinetics. The disease causes severe nasal itching, chronic wet sneezes, and chills. And when I say wet sneezes, I mean they need towels instead of tissues as each sneeze is accompanied by a small burst of water
