Creative Work Ahoy

Here are three of the four squares of which I have decided to take forward. They are not completed as of yet (as you can tell with the second panel) but I am planning to use pencil to colour them in and a fine liner pen to make sure the outlines stay visible. There was to be a fourth panel to go with this but sadly I wasn’t able to draw it in time for the uploading of this, so that will be uploaded as soon as it’s done.

I’ve chosen these three because they’re fun to draw and include some of my friends and animals. Drawing these is also good practise as they give me some good poses to work with and some new items to draw.

This is my storyboard for ‘A Day In My Life’. It is as close of a depiction of Monday that I can draw and remember, it includes all the necessary moments of me going through this day and the things I go and do.

Seeing as this is the planning stage I have not made any drawing properly accurate or coloured as that would take more time than I have.

This is the first phase of my final piece! It’s only the line work currently but I am planning to put myself in front of the Homestuck house as that is my current fixation. I have used my own style as I feel that it suits who I am. 

These are some ideas I drew up for my final piece featuring 1 empty box. I went with an array of different ideas, including myself with different kinds of interests and even in some different poses, one of which was seen before in a previous development. I have used my own style of drawing because that’s the one I’m most comfortable with drawing.

This is the final development that I did. I have edited out the development at the corner as there was no need to include it.

I decided to take the previous development forward a bit more and included the aspects (in different fonts of my own design) of the characters that play the game SBurb, the beta kids play the green version and the Alpha kids play the red version, you can find the Greek letters underneath the houses. The people you see in front of the houses are cosplayers of Jane Crocker and Rose Lalonde, players of Beta and Alpha respectively. I am in the middle representing the trolls that speak to the players, hence the purple as they play SGrub which has a purple house.

Here you can see my further development image from before but this time completed, and with it we can see a seventh development of which I think came out really well.

The further development has on it that 3D effect from before but this time the pink sharpie is on the right side and the blue is on the left, that’s all that was added. I don’t think I’ll go forward with this anymore as I want to try other ideas out, with those ideas hopefully containing animals.

This is my sixth development of my Self Portrait project. The image includes me, my sister, my brother and the YouTube user TomSka.

I first put this image onto a piece of card then put PVA glue over it (around three layers or so) to give the image some shine, afterwards I painted over it to gives us all an outline and some extra character.

Development Continuation

This is an image from my second hand development of which I have taken to developing further. The development with the golden pen and the sharpie markings helps show off the lighting a bit more and gives me a more lighthearted feel. I feel as though I could use this technique more productively in different developments; adding more and being more creative with it, but for this piece I was experimenting. I may go on to use this piece again and perhaps add that 3D effect from before to make it multidimensional, but we’ll see.

Second Hand Development, 1

As you can see here I have taken images of myself and have started using various techniques to reflect me and my interests. As this is the first phase pf developments my interests don’t shine through, but that will be introduced some more as my developments continue.

In some of my images I have taped a acetate sheet over my photo and drawn over it (see the one with the dogs), this technique is also used on the top right drawing as I drew over half the image then cut that half of the image out, leaving the trace. I gave that trace a 3D effect as it gives it the feeling of being multidimensional, extending the reach of our own material plane of existence.

For the drawing in the top left hand corner I used a sellotape technique in which I cover the image in tape then rube the paper on the back off with water, giving it a transparent affect. I used blue tissue paper as blue is my favourite colour.

For the bottom two drawings I used realism and my own cartoon style of which has been seen in my first hand developments. I found I preferred doing my own style as it reflects me more than the other, it also looks better in my opinion.

Here are some drawings, some not fully completed, that I’ve drawn to show some of my interests and get into what is me and what is on my mind. Using my own drawing style I have drawn characters from the web comic Homestuck, something I am currently into and enjoying.

First Hand Development (1)

These are some sketches of myself that I have done using coloured pencil, pencil and pen. I used a mirror to find out what I looked like and drew what I saw. I also looked at my hand and drew what I saw from that to practise.

As you can see I put in annotations saying what techniques I used and what they’re supposed to be. I also put in the media as well.
